Before coming to the Presidio, Dave Gannon most recently held the position of Head Golf Professional at the Golf Club at San Leandro. Prior to San Leandro, Dave was a Teaching Professional at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, California for seven years, which boasts one of the best PGA teaching staffs in Southern California. Dave also worked as a Professional at Kernwood Country Club in Beverly, Massachusetts for one season. Dave turned professional in 1990, and earned his Class "A" PGA status in 1995. He was named Most Valuable Player of the University of La Verne golf team in 1985, and graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1990.

For 10 years, Dave has mastered the art of teaching golf to all age groups and playing levels through the use of various teaching tools, including Dave's own proprietary video teaching system, which allows students to leave lessons with VHS video tape in hand. Dave has studied under 1991 PGA Teacher of the Year and "Top 100 Instructor" Michael Hebron, as well as former "Top 100 Instructor" Jim Petrelia. Dave also offers a unique service in the golf teaching industry, Video Playing Lessons, in which shots are taped during actual play allowing students to take videos home for viewing, as swings tend to differ dramatically from the driving range to the golf course.
