PGA Class "A" Instructor
San Francisco native Dede Moriarty grew up playing golf at Harding Park, where she first developed her passion for the game. After many years of amateur competition, she was encouraged to pursue her PGA apprenticeship and became a PGA Member. She is now proudly entering her 31st year of PGA membership.
Dede began her professional career as First Assistant Professional at Lake Merced Golf Club, where she spent many rewarding years. In 1996, she became the first Head Professional at Presidio Golf Course when it transitioned to public play, and the first female Head Professional in San Francisco. A few years later, she accepted the position of Head Professional at Crystal Springs Golf Course.
Teaching has always been at the heart of Dede’s career. When the opportunity arose, she returned to Presidio Golf Course as a full-time teacher and coach. She is now celebrating her 20th year back at the Presidio and more than 30 years of teaching the game of golf.

There are many approaches to teaching and coaching, and every student learns differently. Dede truly enjoys finding the best way to communicate with each individual, helping make the game both enjoyable and rewarding while emphasizing strong fundamentals.
Dede is a San Francisco native and grew up playing golf at Harding Park Golf Course. She was the first female Head Professional in San Francisco history. Her passion is teaching golf and offering programs to players of all abilities, to help people have fun playing the game.
Ranked among the best instructors in California and Top 50 Women Teachers in the country, Dede works with her students to develop the fundamentals that are the basis for all good swings. She works with her students on goal setting and practice routines that will help bring them to the next level. Dede believes learning should be easy and fun!
